Hi Sherry,

Do you have any idea when your MacKay family would have emigrated from Scotland? Or what profession your grandfather was in prior to enlisting? It would appear that a lot of the Mackays in this branch of the family were blacksmiths. It is possible that your Mackays are related to ours - do you know where in Scotland yours were?
