Here is what I know about my McKay relatives from Dornock, Scotland.

John and Merran (Marion) McKay lived in Dornock (probably Proncy). He lived 1786-1859. She lived 1799-1872 (died at Cambusavie, Dornock). They had 9 children:
James (1820-1861, Ontario)
John (1821-1822, Proncy)
Elspie (1823-?)
Catherine (1825-?)
Margaret (1827-?)
Christie (1830-?)
William (1832-1909, Ontario)
John (1835-?)
Andrew (1837-?, Ontario)

James, William, John, and Andrew (at least) immigrated to Canada, perhaps on the Barque Ellen in 1848. James married Ruth Havens in 1853 and they had 4 children. Ruth then married James' brother William and they had 4 more children.

I hope this helps you. If this information connects to anyone else, please let me know.
