James Mackay was born 1759 in Arrichiliney, Parish of Kildonan, Couty of Sutherland. Son of George Mackay, a Judge and Elizabeth McDonald. He had brothers and sisters
Robert Mackay who stayed in Scotland and retired in Iverness.
George Mackay who moved to Nova Scotia and was an overseer of public works.. married and had large family.
brother William Mackay lived in Ptersburgh, Va. Have no information on his family.
Sisters: Catherine Mackay who married George Mackay and lived in Doverary, County of Cathness, Scotland had a large family.
Jean Mackay who stayed in Scotland.
His Uncle: William Mackay moved to Rowen County, North Carolina about 1774 and had 11 children.

James Mackay had 9 children in Missouri and was married
to Isabella Long.

Would like information on his descendants and also his brothers and sisters.
