My mother in law (Evelee McKay) is related through Francis Jones McKay. I have copies of letters connected to Samuel McKay's military service. (Captain 60th Regiment (Royal American). Saw considerable action against "the rebels". Was taken prisoner but escaped. Was promoted pothumously to Major.) Some of the copies have locations on where the original documents can be found.

If you are interested in viewing what I have so far and where this particular branch of the McKays ended up, please let me know. I am will to share what I have if you are willing to do the same.
