I am a descendant of Micajah "Michael" K. Byrd/Bird who was in the St. Louis District of Missouri by 1805. His widow filed a land application before the Board of Land Commissioners and on that application it says "for permission to settle see MacKay's list." I am assuming the MacKay is James MacKay.

The Byrd family was last known to be in Fairfield County, SC about 1796. So their relocation to Upper Louisiana (Missouri) occurred between 1796 and 1805.

Do you know about this "MacKay's list" or where I might locate this document?
