Hi Shirley,,
It is quite a genealogical jump between the 1600 and 1900 period. To date none of my research connects with the families you have listed.
Can I suggest you try an initial 1901 British Census search. You may find Adam, Angus and James recorded, worth a look.

Also can I suggest that you join up with the SCT-Sutherland@british-genealogy.com mailing list!
General information about the mailing list is at:

http://www.british-genealogy.com/mailman/listinfo/sct-sutherland

Once you have joined up, place this same message to the list and you may find someone may have a link for you. The members are a great group and very helpful, with considerable knowledge of Scottish genealogy. There also several Australian researchers who will probably be able to advise you on some Immigrant shipping web sites.

Best wishes with your genealogy hunting
Donald Mackay
