My Grandfather may have been the John that jumped ship he was killed in a mining accident in Quensland in the late 1800 I found the records of this My father John Sutherland McKay born in Quensland his mother moved back to Scotland and re maried at 14 my father came to Canada and over the years brought most of his famley to canada. We have an old phonagraph record of a song When I meet Makay and it refers to loc loman and a place called Bonniebank. There is still famley conections in Australia that have made trips to Canada but I was to yung to rember them
