Hello,

I noticed in your request you had the name of Hector. (Unless, of course, that means something completely different.) My branch of the McKays began on this side of the pond with Hector (b. ca. 1819) and Margaret McKay (b. ca. 1821). Parents of 12 children. They came from Scotland to Nova Scotia. My line does not include a Barbara, but perhaps some of his other children. Try familysearch.org.
