As far as I know your Francis is not related to the brothers Samuel and Francis who were soldiers in the 60th Royal American during the French and Indian War.

Francis had only one son, Jean Mackay. He did fight in the War of 1812, along with his son and several cousins (descendants of Samuel).

Most of the descendants of Francis and Samuel were living in the St. Eustache area of Quebec at the time of the War of 1812.
