Thank you for your inquiry. I will send you a family tree if I could discover how to email an attachment to this message. My family began operations in this country when Angus and Margaret Mackay came over from Scotland in about 1830. They settled in Goderich, started a mercantile business and began a family. Several of their children died in the Diptheria epidemic. If you go to Goderich, the current brick building that is the Senior Center was the original mercantile store. One of the sons, Donald C. Mackay was a Sheriff for a number of years and one of his sons was named John C. Mackay who died in 1906. I don't know if this is the John you are related to, but he lived in Toronto.
