James Mackay alias James W Maguire>Civil War>Navy Discharge
Posted by: Sharon Arnold (ID *****7130) Date: December 05, 2012 at 06:41:45

I have a Certificate of Discharge for JAMES MACKAY dated March 26, 1891. It is a replacement for a lost or stolen original date of discharge as December 12, 1864. On the outside envelope it says JAMES W MAGUIRE alias JAMES MACKAY. One the certificate it states the name only as JAMES MACKAY. I would like to return this certificate to any family member interested in this person's genealogy. Also inside of the envelope is a tin type photo of a women with only a tag #232.

These items were found in a book my husband found while tearing down an old farm house between New Haven and Hartford, CT.
