I'm looking for information on William Liddle Mackay, b. abt. 1826, Edinburgh, Scotland? He died in Pictou, Nova Scotia, 12/24/1871. He married Elizabeth Smith, b. abt. 1821, Red River, Manitoba. They moved to Australia in 1855. Their first child, Robert St. John MacKay was born on the ship 7/22/1855, 2 months out of Melbourne. 3 other children, Arthur Haywood, Michael Barry, & Elizabeth Bell were born in Australia & New Zealand. They evidently returned north as Robert married Emily Mary Foote 12/17/1885 in Newfoundland before moving to Massachusetts. One of their daughters, Doris Bayly MacKay, b. 1/12/1900, Melrose, MA. was my grandmother. Any help would be appreciated.
