Barry, I am the great-great grand-daughter of Edward Macklin(1822-1906) and Dorcas Staples(1823-1910). They were married at Grafton, Ontario Dec. 4th, 1844. "The ceremony was performed by Rev. Wm. McCullogh, after which the couple drove to Edward's farm in The Macklin Settlement, Haldimand Township. The last six miles through dense bush. They lived there all of their lives and in 1904, celebrated their Diamond Wedding Anniversary with all their family, friends and neighbours gathered round." Edward and Dorcas had 13 children, 3 were triplets, Thomas James, John Henry and William Lawson ( my great grandfather) I have some photographs of Dorcas and Edward, and the triplets that I can e-mail to you.I also have all the names and lifespans for all of their children. Do you still need them ?
