I have been doing genealogy on my family for sometime. My grand father was John Macko. He was born in A Regmec Czechoslovackia in 1885. His father was Michael Macko and his mother was Ann Sikora. Sometime after coming to this country in 1903 and marrying my grandmother in 1908, he changed his name to Sikora, taking his mothers maiden name. He lived in Bergen Co, NJ and later in Rockland Co, NY. He also had a sister who lived in the New Jersey area, Anna, who married a Silinski or Zilenski.
