Hmmm.... the name Ann is very popular, but I'm afraid I have no proof of a connection. Our Macko's listed Hungry/Austria as their native land, and spoke Czech. Geographically speaking...it is possible. The earliest I have a Macko in the Census is 1910, but Andrew Macko immigrated in 1892--I believe, check Filby's later editions to verify, or give me some time to check my notes. Now when I get Andrew's naturalization papers, they may lead to something. Hoping to get to DC sometime this year!
Thanks for writing!
