GEORGE BUTLER MACNAUGHTON
Mr. George Butler MacNaughton, age 84 of Crockett, passed away Friday, June 19, 2009 in Crockett had previously lived in Pasadena. Mr. MacNaughton was born February 20, 1925 in Bandera and had lived in Crockett since 1999. He was a horse trainer and a member of the Bandara Baptist Church. Mr. MacNaughton was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army.
Survivors include his wife Barbara MacNaughton, of Crockett; children George B. MacNaughton and wife Nevas, of Fredericksburg, Randy MacNaughton and wife Kim, of Medina, Jonny MacNaughton and wife Elizabeth, of Mont Belvieu, Tammi Wagnon and husband Ricky, of New Caney and Kevin MacNaughton and wife Tamara, of Centerville; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister Marjorie Orr and husband Bob, of Rockdale; niece Betty Margaret Ferguson and husband Will, of Rockdale; nephew Norvell “Tex” Killion and wife Karen, of Seguin.
Preceded in death by his parents John B. and Edith Fee MacNaughton; sister Merle Dean Sidlo; brother, John B. MacNaughton Jr.; daughter-in-law, Betty MacNaughton and nephew, Robert Orr Jr.
Funeral Services for Mr. George Butler MacNaughton were held Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Ron Canaster officiating.
Graveside Services were held Wednesday, June 24 at 2:00 p.m. in the Bandera Cemetery with the Rev. Allie Balko officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cal Farley’s, Boys Ranch and Girlstown U.S.A., P.O. Box 1890, Amarillo, Texas 79174-0001.
