William (born in Scotland ) b. June 25, 1815 d. June 20 1900 and his wife Agnes Smith (b. Armagh, Ireland) d. January 26, 1901 lived in or near Buffalo, New York. Both are buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo.
Their son John MacPherson was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1841 & died April 27, 1913 in Franklinville, New York. He married Elizabeth Simms of New York City, (daughter of David Simms and Anne Harrison). They had the following children:
Wallace Simms MacPherson b.Dec. 1, 1864; Agnes Alice Macpherson b. April 2, 1868 d. 6 Dec. 6, 1953; William Simms MacPherson b. Dec 26, 1871 d. Dec 30, 1871; Jessie Eleanor MacPherson b. John Ellington MacPherson married Bessie Stone and they lived in Franklinville, New York. They had two children, Carlysle Roy MacPherson b. April 18, 1906 d. February 13, 1975 and Helen Elizabeth MacPherson b. 1918 and died 1967. (Carlysle was my father.)
Carlysle MacPherson married Thelma Colley and they lived in Franklinville, New York all of their lives. They had 4 daughters. Marjorie Elaine MacPherson b. October 26, 1932 d. February 7, 1993. The other daughters are still living.
If anyone has any information on this branch of the family I would appreciate hearing from them and sharing with them the information I have. I don't have a lot of information on John's children - most of the information I have is of Agnes. I believe that some of the family changed their surname to McPherson and I believe that some settled in the Chicago area (I seem to remember cousins named Peggy and John in Chicago) and some in possibly settled California.
My father's cousin Roswell MacPherson lived in the Buffalo, New York area and I believe he had two children.
