Before my father passed on he told me that his great grandfather was a sheriff in Yuma County AZ. circa 1900. He had four sons, three that served in WWI. Two were killed and the other returned from Europe a triple amputee and was sent to Canada. He claimed that his grandfather had to run away to New Jersey because he killed two mexican men for raping his sister there in Yuma and the Sheriff (his dad) was going to arrest him. He supposedly stole the blacksmith money and took off to the East. My Grandfather and my father - Bruce (and myself) were all born in New Jersey. I am trying to verify if any of these things my father told me are true. I am 58 years old and have been in Texas for over 30 years.
