Hi Ronald,
My name is Colin Macpherson and I have a large family tree containing the McPhersons/Macphersons from Perth and Liverpool. The reason for this message is that I have a McLean connection which I have never solved.
I have a Peter McLean Mcpherson whose father was John Mcpherson born about 1794 place unknown, his mother was Jane Tait. John was a Sawyer by trade and had a shipyard in Perth, Scotland. He died in 1841 in Perth. we also have Alexander Mcphersons in the tree who was another son of John. I was wondering if your Alexander could have been a brother of John and passed Helens surname to Peter. If this is the case it would solve the McLean connection and also tell me who Johns Parents were and where they came from.
If you need to see my family tree I will Email the link to you.
I would be grateful for any help you can provide
