My geneology starts out with Simon Fraser(b unknown) . He married Mary Anne MacRae (b unknown). I feel a very strong attachment to this scottish blood and would like to learn more. I can follow a direct line back through my mother to John Simon Fraser b1804, son of Simon Fraser and Mary Anne MacRae but would like some book reference that I can read up on this era and maybe make some connections. Any suggestions for some one thirsty for family history? I also have Sarah McMyler Burke (b1824 )in county Mayo,Ireland b1824
