Hi Dan, I think we may have a connection. I have a Margaret Lang born 19 April 1878. She was not born in Port Arthur, as previously thought by her descendants. She was born in Blythe, Ontario, according to my grandmother, Isabella Lang, her sister and my grandmother. The family later moved to Port Arthur, which is now known as Thunderbay. The other piece of information I have is that Margaret's father's name which is listed on her death certificate is incorrect. Her father's name was John Lang, not Matthew. I am in contact with one of her granddaughters. How are you related to Margaret Lang? Did you get the information about Margaret's father's name from her death certificate?

Their parents were John Lang and Mary MacRae. According to my grandmother, her mother Mary MacRae was born in Nova Scotia (Pictou or Halifax that they landed in or lived in)and originally cam from Scotland.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
