Alexander MacRae was my great grandfather. His wife was Mary Matheson. To the best of my knowledge, they were born outside of Canada, but I am not at all sure. I do know that from Ontario, they went to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Laurium, Red Jacket area. They had several children. Elizabeth (my paternal grandmother), Mary Belle, Anne, Frank, Donald, I believe. My grandmother died in 1906 or1907. My grandfather, John McAulay Matheson died a few years later leaving my dad, Bert Alexander Norman Matheson to live with any relative who would care for him. Does anyone out there have any connections?
