If you can, try and get your hands on the following book (you might be able to borrow it through interlibrary loan?):

"MacRaes to New Zealand: genealogies of Clan MacRae families in New Zealand up to 1990." compiled by Molly J. Akers and recorded by Eileen A. McMillan. Published by Akers/McMillan 1994. M. J. Akers c/o Pritchard Dilks & Associates PO Box 80, Palmerston North 5301, New Zealand. ISBN soft cover 0-473-02801-8 hard cover 0-473-02802-6.

This book has info on Ann MacRae, her siblings and parents, plus her children. It has info on a whole heap of MacRaes from Scotland who went to Nova Scotia, NZ & Australia.
