I submit that this is the correct parents of the Isabella McRae that married William Teal. This Will is documented in Anson County Will Book B page 71 to 73. The Will was signed on January 26, 1837 and was filed during the April Session 1837. The father was named Christopher McRae and the mother was Patsy Cooley McRae. They probably married sometime after December 14, 1820 because on that date Patsy Cooley required Christopher McRae to write and sign a marriage contract. It was filed during the January Term of 1821. I am guessing she was much younger than he was.
Item 5. I give and bequeath unto Absolom Myers and Alex Little in trust for the use and benefit of my heirs here named To wit,- John Gill Lendon (not sure if this is one or three persons), Isabella Teal wife William Teal, Margaret Teal wife of Allen Teal, Elizabeth McRae daughter of my grandson Daniel McRae and that the following three persons to wit Polly Capel, Caty Boyt, and Gilbert McRae.... In item 4 Christopher also mentioned his daughter Polly McRae and her husband Farquhard McRae.
I do have a question for you. On one of your postings you mentioned under Elizabeth Betsy Teal married Heziah Lisenby, then said This is my page on Isabella McRae. I am not sure what you are saying? Also did William & Isabella only have three children? I will try to get the Will posted for Samuel Teal tomorrow.
