This Will is found in Anson County Will Book C pages 51 thru 53. It was filed in the July Term of 1852. The father was of course Samuel Teal and his wife was named Nancy. They had quite a few children which were named in this Will. Some of the names were hard to read but I will give it my best shot. The names as they appeared on the Will were Clarissa Myers, Sarah Griffin, Thetus? Mirfree? (Murphy), William C. Teal, Samson Teal, Rosa Baker, Margaret Carpenter, Harrison?? Teal, Thomas Hardison Teal, Elino?? Teal, and finally Wilson Teal. It is a quite large family with six sons and five daughters and at 3 pages a fairly large Will.
Based on these names I would say that this William C. Teal was the husband of Isabella McRae the daughter of Christopher McRae. However, Allen Teal, does not appear here and I would guess that he is from one of the other Teal families in Anson County. Unless one of these other sons middle name is allen.
I am wondering if the wife of Christopher McRae (Patsy Cooley) is his second wife. Based on the fact that they married in 1820, I believe some of these children may be from his first wife since they seem they would be older! What do you think? I will try to scan the Will and get it e-mailed to you.
