Alexander McRae b-1845 Scotland

My great grandfather Alexander McRae was born in Scotland 22 May 1845. He came as a baby to Canada with his parents. His mother (name unknown) died on the voyage over and was buried on an island off Nova Scotia. He had several brothers and sisters. At the age of 16 he came to the U.S.A. and ended up in Iowa. He married Hester Ann Trew and raised a family of six children. I have spotted a Duncan McRae & wife Christy in Ontario with a son Alexander born in Scotland with several brothers and sisters all being born in Canada. The exact location in Canada is Stormont Co. Roxborough Twp. The other children are Catherine, Janet, Christina, Donald, and Ellen. Any help on this line would be appreciated. Thanks, Bob McRae
