John Macrae & Alexander Macrae, Inverness watch & clock makers

Between about 1800 and 1850 two of my related Macraes were -
John Macrae of 11 High Street, Inverness, Scotland; and Alexander Macrae of 13 Bridge Street, Inverness. Both were clockmakers / watchmakers. I am seeking information on these individuals and their families and I would be most grateful to hear from anyone who can help me.

My research appears to trace these two individuals back to Alexander Macrae born 1734, a farmer on the Black Isle immediately north of Inverness: he and his descendants are from the Killearnan Macrae group (as am I). I can provide a significant amount of family history on the Killearnan Macraes to anyone interested.
