Debbie
There actually have been two versions of this book published over the years. The first was published in 1899 by the above Alexander MacRae then again in 1910 a updated version was published by him. In 1976 the Clan MacRae Society of North America sponsored a reprint of the 1899 version of the book. I believe that all copies of the 1976 reprint have been sold out by the society and hard copies can be had by searching on-line book sellers.
Since the book is no longer under copyright protection someone has taken a copy of the 1910 updated version and it can be had on line as a PDF file. The URL for the site is http://www.archive.org/details/historyofclanmac00macr
Once at the web site, on the left hand side of the page, you will see the heading "view the book" and under that heading select the link for PDF and you can download a "soft" PDF copy of the book.
Regards,
Bruce McRae

PS Enjoy the book about our Kintail ancestors!
