Hi Jim,

Thank you for your fast reply! It's nice writing with a second cousin oversea.

A few years ago I talked to the illustrator who illustrated the weapon. He worked some time togheter with the person who found our weapon. One mr. Klein from Zeist, Holland. Our weapon was found at an university near Marburg. In Sibbmachers Grosswappenbuch (or something like that) to be exactly. The illustrator couldn't find the weapon in his Sibbmachers buch again. He told me that mr. Klein left for South Africa in the Seventies. He sold his total collection. I thought he died in '78 or '79. So we can't ask him no more about the weapon.

I'm no genealogist, I just like to know something more about the family. As far as I know all the Macranders in the world are family.

Greetings to you all!
