Just a note that I went to Boston and searched the archives and John H Madden was born in Boston and his father was Joseph Madden and his mother was Mary Hogan.
Interestingly his first wife was Francis( Fannie) B Madden born in Boston to Timothy Madden from Ireland and Mary Powers same. Can anyone explain that?
She died on the 21 Feb 1911 50 years old of a stroke of a 1/2 days duration.Cause of death, arterosclerosis. She was living at 9 Fremont Pl in Boston at her death.
John( second wife ) and my Great aunt Pearl were married on the 18 April 1915.Both were living on 69 Fuller Street in Brockton,MA when this event occured.
You might see that some dates are missing, after doing my husband's Irish/Scot family I was exhausted( and by the way have any of you DRIVEN in Boston at 8 o'clock in the morning????).But never fear if anyone needs those dates give a holler( that is SO NOT a Yankee term!) and next time we go I'll look them up again.
The Madden's were my favorite cousins, they were older than I was but they treated us so nicely and boy, were they fun loving!
All the best and fond memories of a great gang,
Elizabeth
