The California Democrat newspaper from California, MO had a great article about a Michael Madden who fought at the battle of Little Big Horn and had his leg amputated during the heat of battle. He died in Moniteau county Missouri and was buried at the California cemetary. He died December 18th of 1883 at age 42. I will post the news story in image form when I find out how to do that. If you would like a copy, just email me at miketuscan1231@yahoo.com.
