Roger and Mary Madden, from "Roame", Co. Tipperary

I am trying to find out anything about Roger and Mary Madden, born about 1793, Mary died Oct. 6, 1865 and is buried in Auburn NY with the following on her headstone: Wife of Roger, aged 72 years, and "Native of Parish of (Roame) Co., Tipperary, Ireland". The word "Roame" is apparently nearly illegible. This is nearly all I know about them, other than from the 1865 NY census Mary lived with her son Michael (b. 1828), claimed to be 76 years old, and had 6 children. (two others were Daniel (b. 1821) and James (b. 1827)).

It is believed Mary came to the US later than her three sons, probably when her husband Roger died.

There apparently is no Parish of Roame in Tipperary, although some townlands have Roame in their names.

Do any records from that period of time exist, and how would I find them?
