Sorry I can't provide you any information but maybe you can add something to the MADDEN family history several of us have been researching over the years.

Quoting from one researcher, "According to the family legend there were three Madden brothers that came to America from Cork County Ireland"

Time? Probably between 1800 and 1850 as we have compiled records from about 1850 to the present. Prior records are scanty.

One brother, my GGGF? may be the Samuel MADDEN in 1840 Census, Township - Orange, County - Delaware, State - Ohio
His son, my GGF? was born in Columbus, OH.
His son? my GF was born in Randolph County, AR (D.C. says MO)in 1878

Another brother reportedly was killed in a riverboat explosion, maybe on the Mississippi or Ohio River.

The third brother (possibly your ancestry?) "Went West and was never heard from again" according to one researcher.
