A Jacob Madeira bought a tract of land in Cumru, later Spring, Township Berks County, PA, in 1849. The tax records show he is a non-resident taxpayer. He sold the land in 1863. The house is being preserved as a homestead for the Stoltzfuses who immigrated in 1766, purchased what was then 101 acres.
It appears this Jacob may have built the house upward into a two-story. Perchance, would you have a connection to this?
