Hello to all
I found this site very helpful. along with being helpful you can also post what you found or have to up date current info on this site. I was orginally searching for back ground on my grandfather Andres Maestas

1. Andres MAESTAS was born Abt. 1891 in San Luis, N.M.. He was the son of 2. Juan Isidro MAESTAS and 3. Doloritas MAESTAS. He married Merenciana GURULE, daughter of Eduvigen GURULE and Maria Eulalia LOVATO. She was born 1 Aug 1892 in La Jara, N.M.

2. Juan Isidro MAESTAS was born Abt. 1850 in San Luis, N.M.. He was the son of 4. Juan Luis MAESTAS and 5. Maria Paula LUCERO. by what this says he was also married to #3

3. Doloritas MAESTAS.

Child of Doloritas MAESTAS and Juan Isidro MAESTAS is:1. Andres MAESTAS was born Abt. 1891 in San Luis,

4. Juan Luis MAESTAS was born Abt. 1822. married to #5

5. Maria Paula LUCERO was born Abt. 26 Jan 1826 in Albuquerque N.M.. She was the daughter of 10. Jose Miguel LUCERO and 11. Andrea PACHECO.

any way the site is in a much better form mat it is also in a family tree form. Needless to say the furthest I got was to Juan Luis Maestas. With my grandmother I got really lucky and traced her genealogy all the way back to a Bartolome de Montoya. From this I recalled my history and tried to recall the expeditions. I looked up the expeditions and lucky I found his name and the place he was born on the Chronology of the Onate Expdition which left Mexico 1597. I still would like to find any info on my grandfather and hopefully trace it that far back or furthur. If we can fill in the blanks on this site perhaps we can get full history of the Maestas.
Thanks for all your help
