I know a bit more. Mother Anne Eccles of Ecllesville;
Father John Maginn, schoolteacher at Diocesan School
until 1811, then had his own school. Died
1819; his youngest brother Charles
Arthur Maginn (rector Castletownroche, Co Cork)
had 12 children, the most famous of which
Francis Maginn was leading advocate for the
deaf in UK and Ireland.

But I still don't know where his Father was born, or dates for his Mother.
