Thank you for information.
William Maginn (1794-1842) was the son of John Maginn (d. 1813) and Anne Eccles. They lived in Cork, where he was a school teacher. Anne Eccles, tho, was from Ecclesville in County Tyrone, so there may be a connection.

David,
I've traced my ggrandfather John Maginn b. 1814, to County Tyrone. While I don't know if I'm related to William the writer, I do know that the name has
always been spelled two ways -- Maginn and McGinn. You might make a connection if you post your messaage on the McGinn Family Forum page. Good
luck.

John Maginn's third child was Bernard William Maginn and His fourth was Edward William Maginn -- common names but you never know. I'd be very
pleased if you make a connection to pass on any information that might involve my ancestors. Thanks

Dennis Maginn
