My john Maginn was said to be from Fintona, County Tyrone. Ecclesville is just on the outskirts of Fintona. If William's John died in 1813 and my John was born in 1814 if we are related it's probably not direct. This is however the closest i've come to finding a Fintona connection. I've also learned that Bishop Edward Maginn was born in Fintona in about 1811. He is listed in the Catholic Encyclopedia as the Bishop of Derry.

I was in Fintona last April and heard about an Ecclesville hotel or B&B, and a riding center in Ecclesville.

Please keep in touch.
