Until the 1990's there was a Magnus family that owned a property called Quebec at Oracabessa in Jamaica. The patriarch was a judge and the property is a plantation. Judge Magnus had at least 3 sons and a daughter. One son a dentist, another a doctor and a third took up engineering. The family is pretty well out of Jamaica. A brother to judge Magnus was also in medical practice and he was prominent in the Jockey Club in Jamaica. I knew Mrs Magnus, wife of judge Magnus after the judge passed away. She too is dead.

If you care to send me an email I could pass it on to one of the sons with whom I have contact from time to time
