Can anyone shed some light on the parents of Sarah Ann Mahaffie b. 24 Sep 1834 in Tennessee? It appears that her mother was Mary. Sarah Ann was listed on the 1850 Census for Putnam County, MO as Sarah A. McGill (b. TN)with Hamilton and Mary McGill (b. TN) and some younger children. Sarah married Milton Triplett on 25 Dec 1856 in Putnam County, MO. On the 1860 census for the same county, Hamilton and Mary McGill now had a daughter, Angeline, age 2. Angeline McGill was listed on the 1880 Census for Crawford County, AR with Milton and Sarah Triplett as Angeline Triplett, sister, (half sister). Angeline McGill married Amos S. Waltermire in 26 Jan 1881 and they had a son, Elmer R. Waltermire. Apparantly, Angeline died shortly after Elmer was born and he was raised by Milton and Sarah Mahaffie Triplett. The 1900 census lists him as nephew with Milton and Sarah Triplett.
