Trying to locate information on descendants of this couple.
John Mahaffey was 1 of six brothers who came from Ireland in 1848. He married Nancy Ann Calhoun and is found in Henry Co, IL in 1860. Nancy Ann died in 1865 and is buried in Galva, IL. John and the children return to Marion Co. OH where they had first settled. Two brothers are there, William and Samuel. In 1870 John and the kids are in the census. The children are; Mary J. 1850-, Robert G. 1852-,
John 1855-, Thomas 1857-, William J. 1859, Annie 1860- and Samuel 1862-. I have Annie married to George Spaulding and Samuel 1862-1949 married Olive. They both stayed in Marion, OH. All the other kids just seem to disappear.?
Robert, John, Thomas and William all can not be located in any other census or records. John is in the 1880 living with his Uncle William in Marion, and then he's gone too.
Does anyone have any knowledge of these Mahaffeys?
