I don't know what to tell you. Our Mahns were
German, but I don't know when they emigrated.
They were already in Wisconsin when the Konshoks, my grandfather's father's family arrived in Milwaukee WS in July of 1865.
My great-grandfather was an only son, and the
family story was that he had been brought to
America to avoid being forced into the Kaiser's army. It was this young boy, Johan David Konshok, who married Johanna Catherine
Mahn in Farmington, Washington CO WS, 1 Dec. 1875.
