My Grandfather Albert Biagio Maicus was from Trieste, Italy and he came to America about 1927. I was told that he had 3 uncles who came to America before him or rather 2 came to America and 1 went to Argentina. I don't know how they came to America, my Grandfather was a cabin boy on a passenger ship and when it came to America he jumped overboard and came into New York. I haven't really done any research on this surname but I have written to relatives in Trieste trying to find out more. Please contact me. Are you the same lady from out west who I sent a message to because you sent one to my cousin Maicus and he had no information for you so they forwarded the message to me. Please let me hear from you. cataulavic@aol.com
My Grandpa would be tickled.
