Hi Jen
I am so excited about this new find of yours...yes been a long time since we were in contact... I will leave my email address at the bottom and please contact me directly.....I have not done much with this line as I was stuck long time ago on our John Malbone born 1805 who married Huldah Corey whom he and was residing in Coventry RI...Now I sent for his death record...It stated Mother as Polly and father unknown....However my general feeling right along is that and if you look at early census record of Coventry RI there was a Godfrey Malbone(I think a Jr or grandchild of Godfrey of Newport RI) in 1810 census record that this Godfreywas his father and that Polly may have been one of his slaves.....As history shows us that
The first Godfrey of Newport married a Katherine Brinley...There is much documintation to this in books....I find a second Godfrey married to a Dorcas in Connecticut who applied for a military pension
Any how contact me directly...PS I believe Polly died in Coventry and or Newport RI...There is a Polly listed on a 1782 Tax list of Newport RI
