The story that I was told said that my great, great, grandfather came from the town of Malchow somewhere in Germany about the mid 1860's. Also he was what they called a "Remitance Man" Which ment that he was paid to stay away from that town. He had settled down around Chicago, and got married there.
One of his children moved to minnesota.
