james malcolm of jericho/oyster bay long island
He was born about 1834`and in 1923 had three living children aged 45 - 50 all Quakers living in Jericho.James was vice president of the Oyster Bay Bank. The daughter(eldest) was not married. The two boys (doctor, dentist) were and the dentist had a little boy.James Malcolm was the eldest of seven children. His mother was Mary Ann Currie and his father a Mr. Malcolm. When his father died, Mary Ann Currie married a German immigrant, Lewis Ficken, in 1839. and proceded to have six more children.Mr Ficken was the youngest of seven brothers and I believe most of the Ficken families lived in this area of Long Island also.
Thanks for any help,Ron BurkeLos Altos, Ca.
