I have just read the reply sent by Beryl Mallalieu what she says is correct Bertha Mallalieu was one of the sisters of my father Albert Edward Mallalieu, my father was the youngest of the children I remember Aunty Bertie very well as you will know they lived at Slaithwaite. I also remember her husband Frank Butterworth. I believe Rex and Norman their male children were killed in the war I also remeber Beryl and Stella. Aunie Blanch was her sister. Blanch lived in Holmfirth Her husband was called Cecil. I have the full family tree going back as far as George mallaieu who was born in 1584.

Tomorrow, 4th Jan I am going on the Aurora from Southampton to San Fransisco we call at Barbados and I am hoping to meet there an unknown relation called William Malllaieu
I am back 27th January
