It is a very long time since we last met but I remember your father, Uncle Albert with fondness and affection. I started Andel in the ashes of the old Pogson offices in Slaithwaite (now owned by Shaws) in 1992 and have a photo of Albert Mallalieu in the general office at Pogsons taken, I guess, in the 1920,s, 30,s or 40,s.
You are wrong about "Bertie". She was married to Cecil Pogson, my Grandfather. I know of the Butterworth connection but have never figured out how they fit in. I remember as a child visiting Norman and Pam Butterworth at Binn Villa in Holmfirth.They were contemporary with my parents so would be in their late 70's early 80's if still with us. I don't recall any contact after the mid/late 60's when they sold Binn Villa to Max/Muriel Birkhead (later going to Peter Blanchard - Beaumont Bros, Meltham). Norman and Pam had two boys Rex and Nigel who would be my age, late 40s early 50s, but I don't know where they went.
