Simmon's father, Elijah Mallory and wife Sarah removed to Wilson Niagra Co NY in 1811.Elijah had a team of horses and built roads and hauled supplies for the government.He died on a delivery to Buffalo NY.The family remained win Wilson (named after Reuben Wilson who left Cobourg about the same time as Elijah.Simmons returned to Canada before 1828 and remained on the census as a single man for some years...until about 1837 when several more folks joined his household...mother and siblings, presumed.In 1841 he purchase land in Green co WI and his mother Sarah went with him.In 1865, the 55-year-old Solomon married 14-year-old Mary Digby b 11 May 1851..to Abe Digby and S Crompton.
Mary stuck with him through five children, but finally at age 37, she dumped Solomon and married Fred Spuhler.They had a daughter Jennie May Spuhler who married in 1904 Amasa W. Adams and had Rudy and Mary.
mary Digby Spuhler died in 1912 in Spencer IA and was buried in Cherokee IA.
