It just says La bibble de la granmere -- Monsieur Benjamin Blodgett
and it has a 1640 date on it. So I am assuming it came to America. The article about my 2 greats aunt (1940's) states it came with a Mallet and eventually Mary Mallet (as in the title) married a Blodgett, and that is how it came to be passed down.
